The food grade is the same as the USP grade and the solubility in water is the same. The Food Grade can also be used for in making beauty products.

Sodium Gluconate, a natural chelator with strong stabilizing properties is a stronger alternative to Sodium Phytate aka Dermofeel PA-3.

If you can't find Dermo feel PA-3 or other chelators, try Sodium Gluconate. You will fall in love with it the first time.

Sodium Gluconate is a neutralized salt of gluconic acid. It is made by the microbial fermentation of glucose.

BENEFITS OF SODIUM GLUCONATE

1. Stabilizes cosmetic products by preventing rancidity of carrier oils and butters.

2. It prevent discoloration and oxidation by binding metal ions like copper and iron. 

3. It has a strong chelating and stabilizing effect with a wide pH range.

4. A strong humectant with pH regulating capacity

5. You can use it to adjust the pH of your product if you don't want to use sodium hydroxide.

6. Strong natural chelator that is superior in function to most toxic synthetic chelators

7. Can be used to stabilize shampoos, conditioners, makeup (color cosmetics), sunscreen, creams and lotions.

USAGE RATE: 0.1-1%

HOW TO USE: 

Dissolve sodium gluconate in the distilled water of your formulation.

Mix to dissolve before adding other ingredients.

HOW TO USE SODIUM GLUCONATE TO ADJUST PH OF YOUR PRODUCTS

Dissolve 10% of sodium gluconate in 90% water. (The pH should be between 6.5-7.5)

Use this to raise the pH of our products.

It is a better alternative to Sodium Hydroxide.
